ABOUT ME

I am a second-year PhD student with AstraZeneca and Barts and The London School of Medicine. My research is in the field of cardiovascular medicine and pharmacology. Alongside my studies I also work as a science communicator.

I create science content, both in video format and written pieces. My main form of science communication is on my Instagram page @the.cardiac.scientist, but I am also on TikTok and Twitter! Here I share my research, talk about the latest science stories and give an insight into the life of a scientist. My aim is to encourage and inspire others into the STEM field.

I have an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences and a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology. Before starting my PhD I worked as a research assistant at the University of Oxford, where our research focused on hypertensive pregnancies. Currently, my research explores the molecular mechanisms at play in heart failure, namely heart failure with a preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF).
